Career and Transition Support (CTS)
The career and transition support programme aims to facilitate delivery of enhanced career and transition support to young people aged 13-19 years. The CTS Programme is designed to complement the range of strategies, programmes and activities already being implemented in the community.
Elements of this service include:
• Facilitating access for young people to a range of career and transition support services • Promote vocational education and training pathways and opportunities • Facilitate links with current programs and services of the Local Community Project • Enhance the monitoring and mentoring arrangements of young people • Facilitate the engagement of stakeholders including parents, teachers and career advisers in education about post-school options; and
The Career and Transition Services Framework is a tool to assist education and training authorities, schools, community service providers, government agencies and industry bodies to plan and provide services to support young people to make successful transitions.
